The rumors have been hanging around for quite some time now that Novarossi have a new marine 45 engine in the works... But they did'nt show any signs of that in their booth @ the Nürnberg 09 show. I'm told they do have some ideas to make one but its not even confirmed to be a "rear exhaust" motor either... I will believe it when I see it. Don't hold your breath for it is my recommendation!
Ps, they did have a yellow FSR-V 3.5 boat on display and a big sign next to it that said "World Champion 2006"... Well thats not exactly true is it!? At the NAVIGA worlds in Norway in 2006 there was no Novarossi engine in any of the winning 3.5 boats I'm shure of - I was there! Matthias Hof (Germany) won Junior FSR-V 3.5 with a CMV Valvola in his boat, Christoph Schneider won senior FSR-V 3.5 also he with a Valvola, Jörgen Andersson won hydroplane FSR-H 3.5 with his Mac 21 and finally Rune Andersen won off-shore FSR-O 3.5 and no Novarossi in that either as he raced with a CMB also... I'm not even publishing any pics of their show booth now...

New Rossi 90
New TT Bandit 3.5 II
Updated March 24: It will be available in three versions. 1: RTR with engine and radio. 2: Boat & motor. 3: Just the boat.
Length: 848 mm - with engine? (TS2 is 764 mm without engine)
Width: 293 mm (TS2 is 290 mm)
Weight: 1950 g
Its 35 mm longer then the old Bandit and it has improved "cutting" according to TT. Don't ask me - I don't know either what they mean...
Thunder Tiger product link - HERE.
Bandit II manual - HERE.

The tunnel of the new Bandit II. Hope it works better then the old one. That was'nt the best handling tunnel if you ask me... This green hull had quite a large "hook" on the sponson bottoms (concave shaped running surfaces) - sand them flat!

Thats a long radiobox of the OBL-BL-TT...

Engine cowl off on the TT-BL-OBL...

The green one is an new electric version.

The familiar looking radiobox (think it will be changed to "plastic" before it goes into production). The cowl is hold in place with small magnets.

At the Nürnberg show TT showed their updated new 3.5 cc outboard tunnel hull called Bandit 3.5 II. Here's a shot of it from the back.
I asked the Swedish sales rep of why TT had made a new Bandit and the differences of this new one vs the old one and he did'nt have any info of that... Sorry. I guess they just like to make new boats then. But it shure looks better anyway. ;)

Nürnberg Spielwarenmesse '09

It's me (Niklas Edlund) to the left, then my boss Per Gustafsson, Tommy Jeppson, Kaj Johansson & Henrik Gustafsson to the far right.

I'm just back from the worlds largest toy & hobby show in Nürnberg Germany. We had also this year our own booth in Hall 7 (we = Minicars = my job). As Minicars is a Scandinavian hobby distributing company we have the booth mainly for meeting people and new & existing dealers visiting the show.
We didnt have that many new boat related stuff in our booth but I had my own Aquacraft VS1 tunnel hull on display and two Dragon Hobby brushless electric boats from Dragon Hobby. One was the Minicat 820EP with dual BL motors and the other a pre-production new model called Sword. It has an unique self-recovery designed hull that makes it turn around if you roll it up-side-down. Looks good and what I've seen on their videos it seems pretty fast also.
As we distribute Futaba here in Scandinavia @ Minicars we also had a few new yet to be released news from them to show. A new 2PL-2.4GHz 2-channel wheel radio (R603GF receiver) and a new version of their 10-channel 10C radio, now with native built in 2.4GHz system (no module). The new programmable digital S9070 servo can be interesting in our boats also. I'll come back at a later date with more info of it.
We will be back again in 2010 with our own booth!

"YWH" CNC:ed radiobox

The "crazy" Norwegians of team "Yellow White Heads" (Jörn Markset & KG Noddeland) has CNC milled out complete radioboxes out of laminated 12 mm plywood... Including milled out grooves for o-ring seals. Respect. :)

NAVIGA worlds 08 - Non official practice lake
Here's my first new movie - its from August '08 when we where at the NAVIGA World Championships in RC boats in Leno Italy. They (we) are testing our FSR-V boats. This place is about 80 km away from the race site at an perfect RC boating pond. This is the place we should have had the worlds at! Ps, it was really, really, really hot!
CMD delivery

To the left: old school CMD Eagle engine rail, bar stock - 13.1 g each.
In the middle: my old one, 5 mm width 7075 - 7.3 g each.
To the right: the new CMD CNC rail - 9.7 g each.

The big picture.

Bottom view.

A close up of the mounts.

The latest CNC motormounts from CMD drilled for CMB... Good value! This is what I recommend for the Kep's 21 Freebie also. Its enough spacers included to be able to fit into different width rigger tubs. Then you cut the nylon bolts to length.

Some nice bullet nosed 3/16" drivedogs from CMD also arrived.

Also got two new CMD .21 manifolds. But they BOOTH should have been 10 deg versions as you see to the left. But they sent one that is straight also. Crap again, who the heck could use a straight one, for like anything...? BTW, the manifolds are the small 14 mm diameter ones that fits inside the CMD Fat pipe etc.

Got some parts yesterday from CMD in Florida... Crap, they sent some wrong stuff also... The strut assembly to the right is the normal .21 (.45) sized flat bottom strut that I hoped to get. The one to the left is the "21" size they sent now. Its a big difference in size. I think its a 12 size strut - tiny and cute... Hmm. Need to build a 12 size Kep's maybe. LOL
Roisin Murphy - Overpowered
A cool Roisin Murphy video again, this time the title song from her latest album - Overpowered.
Ps, I'm right now downloading videos from the camcorder from different RC boat activity's like the NAVIGA Worlds in Leno Italy (I filmed all finals I think except the one I was in myself - FSR-V 3.5). I will hopefully start publish them within a couple of weeks. There is some editing needed first though. Stay tuned! :)
