Pictures from 2012 NAVIGA World Champs in Dessau

2012 NAVIGA FSR Worlds in Dessau Germany

My Picasa Web album is now complete from the NAVIGA 2012 FSR World Championships. In total 278 pics mainly from the hydroracing. In the linked webalbum you can also see the results from all finals including FSR-V (even though we left before the V finals).

Personally I had a good time in Dessau and I finished second in Hydro 3.5! :)

The KEP's T2 .21 (prototype) rigger (yes, it will be a freebie PDF later this year) worked really good in the tough NAVIGA style heat racing but it will take some more practicing to get the starts perfect. Its not easy when you have a fast boat that runs really light on the water and you race against 7 other boats... ;)

Ciao for Now,

/ Niklas

Hydro & off-shore results

Yesterday (friday) was the finals day for all hydro and off-shore classes here in Dessau @ the NAVIGA FSR 2012 World Championships.

For me it started with waking up with a cold and fewer, not a great start. But a bunch of pain releifs hold it down somewhat... My KEP's 21 T2 riggers felt really good and had a "decent" speed. In the end I took a silver medal after K-G Noddeland! :)

The podiums where dominated by racers from Norway and Sweden and it was good racing all day. It was rounded off by the banquet at the race site.

The FSR-V racers have started to arrive and its practice for them at the test lake saturday and sunday. We will be here on monday also for some innitial reports but we're heading home on tuesday morning.

Day 3 qualifying

The final day of qualifying for H3.5 & H27 was run today and the two first rounds of H7.5 & H15. I did a stupid misstake in heat 3 but a decent second place in heat 4 put me in the H3.5 final at #6. The hydro finals will be on friday... :)

Day 2 Qualifying

Day two is done and we had nice weather all day. 2 rounds of Off-shore 27 & 35 was run and H3.5 & H27. No complete results where published at the time we left the race site except H3.5 (the only class I run). My day was a perfect max score of 800 points (two heat wins) - we are three on the same result so far. The Kep's T2 runs pretty good... :)

Contradicting to earlier info, they will run all hydro classes tomorrow. So wednesday evening I will know if I made the final. :)
