Introducing the KEP's A1 RTR

April 2 - Update: Not to anyone's surprise I hope - this was indeed a April Fools joke and the KEP's A1 RTR is not on the schedule anytime soon... ;)

After months of developing and many meetings with potential manufacturers all over parts of Poland we are now very exited to introduce the first ever Ready-To-Race-Nitro-RC-Outrigger directly aimed at beginners and potential pool racers. Let us present the all new KEP's A1 RTR outrigger.

Jan-Erik Falk to the left and Mikael "Dr. Sunken" Sundgren to the right proudly presents the A1 RTR from the KEP's Factory.

Dr. Sunken (head of the R&D troops @ the KEP's Factory) have put in many testing hours during the winter off-season all over salt lakes of Scandinavia. In February Sunken even took the ship to Florida to pick up some new development custom fuel cells from the godfather of tin sheet forging - Dr. Walter Barney - for the RTR that will revolutionize the complete RC scene. "You will be amazed with what we have come up with!" says Walt.

Novarossi has finally released the first production prototypes out to the public (two selected random US racers) of the new Jan-Erik Falk developed Keep-21MDD in-line marine engine that will be included in the new KEP's A1 RTR - this is the power house of RC boats for the "K-Mart" masses that just waits around the corner to start racing RC boats! (Jan-Erik Falk is a multiple world-record holder in tether car racing.)

We had to wait with the unveil of the A1 RTR boat until the Italian OEM factory where ready to release their true RTR marine inline engine just for the KEP's A1 RTR. But it will be worth the wait. It's a promise. And yes, you have to buy the KEP's A1 RTR boat to get the Keep21MDD for free...

The prototype NR 21 marine engine by Jan-Erik Falk in it's early developing form.

The NR-Keep RTR engine is a special edition only available in this ultimate package and it's race-optimized by Jan-Erik Falk himself. "I want to say that it has been a very challenging project to be involved with and I can say that it will run 100 mph right out of the carbon box on FAI fuel." That means that it's also the first RC Nitro boat that is not run on nitro! But it could not have been possible though without the original newly re-pitched silicone-stainless JG prop with variable cup by Mark Sholund - Buy the KEP's A1-RTR and get the prop for free!

The boat itself is shown in prototype form that now incorporates the South-West Bridge (just outside of Stockholm) developed completely new environmentallyfriendlier compostite material that has taken the comb out of honeycomb. It just taste like sugar with hint of Benol® - and it's fast like nothing else to boot!

The KEP's A1 RTR will be controlled with a new "radio" system that has been developed side-by-side with Futaba that no longer uses 2.4GHz but Bluetooth® instead. Futaba are in the final stages of beta testing the new App (soon downloadable from App Store for just 3€) that actually makes the radio manufacturing obsolete as it's all up to Apple to develop the hardware to match the software now. The new App will have 21 channels - all possible by the new super smart multiple Y-harnes. "It's so smart and cool that we actually don't know how it works" says a R&D rep from Futaba that want's to stay off the radar.

Cost you might ask? If you have to ask - Then you can't afford it! But it's just a "bank-robbery" away of being yours!

Stay tuned - we will release more info soon as possible!

JAE Tripple .46

Update: As it was the first day of April yesterday I can tell you that there will be no pdf drawings for download on any tripplet JAE rigger... ;) So to clear things up; there has been no testing of the "JAE Tripple .46 - April Fools Edition". Neither has Rod said anything of the text here below. Have a nice easter weekend and stay clear of spinning props! :) / Niklas

After extensive testing we can now show you the first drawings of the new and ultimate force of 2010 - the all new JAE™ Tripple .46 rigger.

"After what we have experienced with all the other JAE™ riggers in 2009 and 2010 we thought we would try and brake new grounds with a rarely raced triple motored .46 rigger. The JAE™ Tripple .46 is also for you keyboard-racers just one engine unit short of a quad pack! This one is the BEAST of all BEAST's and it will chew your arms and legs right of your body if not handled correctly. The prototypes have been tested with the new A/A .45 engine even though we only could get hold of two engine samples. And before you even ask, we have decided it will NOT be available as an RTR. Even if we carefully checked with our vendors in China we have decided we will leave that market wide open for Aquacraft®. The main reason was that the A/A .45 engine simply put could not be easily converted to pull-start. Performance wise we can tell you that one of the prototypes where as earlier mentioned tested with the A/A .45 and it was radared at approximately 127.321 MPH (about 204.90329 KMH) in turn 1, 2 and 3 and that was with one of them completely lost. It turned out that the Axe-Motor-Rossi manufactured A/A .45 didn't like the Novarossi glow plug - go figure!? Stay tuned for the PDF download tomorrow & stay clear of spinning props - Have a nice day / Rod Geraghty"
