WC Program and Nitro News

Here is the official program for the soon to be 2017 NAVIGA FSR World Champs in Jawor Poland.

BUT, the hosting organisation published a shocker of a news yesterday as the posted this info:

ANNOUNCEMENT ON CHECKING NITRO-METHANE CONTENT IN FUEL
(information added  2017-07-18)
As set by the FSR Section of NAVIGA, adopted at the last World Championships in Hagenwerder in 2015, the content of nitro-methane in modeling fuel can be as high as 23%. During this year's World Championships in Jawor will be conducted control of this indicator (CMB tester).

Today (July 20) they published an correction though:

CORRECTION ON CONTROLLING CONTENT NITROMETHAN
(information added  2017-07-20)
I inform that during the World Championship in Jawor tests of nitromethane percentage in competitors’ fuel will NOT be performed. I also apologize for posting the previous announcment pertaining to those tests. The small amount of time left until the Championship, and moreover not being able to use a certified device are basis of not following the rule of fuel tests. I apologize all competitors for the posted misleading information.
The Organiser

The excuse though is that they have no time to get a certified device to check the fuel with - NOT that it's NOT even a Naviga rule (regarding a limit of nitro)... Very strange.

Note also there is still NO info what so ever from NAVIGA themselves regarding this World Championships - neither on their website or on their Facebook page.

It looks like the organizers in Poland is running it by themselves so to speak or that NAVIGA doesn't care about the race...!?

NAVIGA or FSR-World

Well, Naviga has pretty much failed to convince anyone that there will be an Naviga FSR Worlds in the "near future"... So if nothing else (of that reason), the new organization "FSR-World" seems to be the only reasonable option for world-wide organized "FSR" type of RC boat racing that has any future going for it. I think. That's at least until Naviga shows us that it wants to be in the game...
  • Naviga have said that it WILL be an Naviga FSR Worlds in 2015 in "Germany" but so far nothing is made official by them to prove it.

"I am urging all countries to attend the Championships organised by FSR World in Dessau this August.

After hearing nothing from Naviga on what plans they have for the next FSR world championships. I have put FSR World in contact with the UIM to see if there can be some sort of union between them. The UIM are still working on the possibilities of ways to combine and will send a representative to Dessau.

At Dessau there will be a large meeting for all FSR racers which hopefully will decide the future of FSR in the way the racers want. At the meeting if everyone wants a committee will be set up to run future Championships and anything else required.

For the championships this year FSR World have agreed entry must be from all countries federation’s not private individuals. There will be no fee to join anything, only the racing fee’s to be paid. Entry will be allowed to only one federation from each country. They can be affiliated to FSR World, Naviga or UIM.

If your country's federation will not send a team another federation can be set up and a team will be accepted from them.

The future is in your hands I think it is important to attend this event.

I have not taken this decision lightly but after going to Naviga European and World Championships for the last 40 years and meeting my wife at a championships I feel Naviga this time have really let us the people who race and attend the events down.
