My Picasa Web album is now complete from the NAVIGA 2012 FSR World Championships. In total 278 pics mainly from the hydroracing. In the linked webalbum you can also see the results from all finals including FSR-V (even though we left before the V finals).

Personally I had a good time in Dessau and I finished second in Hydro 3.5! :)

The KEP's T2 .21 (prototype) rigger (yes, it will be a freebie PDF later this year) worked really good in the tough NAVIGA style heat racing but it will take some more practicing to get the starts perfect. Its not easy when you have a fast boat that runs really light on the water and you race against 7 other boats... ;)

Gone Racing!

We're heading south for the 2012 NAVIGA FSR RC Boat World Championships in Dessau Germany! :)

If the internet connection is working @ the hotel it might be some updates here in the blog from the hydro and off-shore races. And a little from the beginning of the V event (but we're leaving a few days after the ovalracing is done).

This time I will only race FSR-H3.5 as my FSR-V3.5 qualifying sucked last year and Micke will race FSR-H3.5 & 7.5.

It has been many months of not knowing if there where to be any NAVIGA FSR worlds in 2012 but now its official. The next FSR worlds will be held in Dessau, Germany from July 28 to August 11 in 2012!

Update: it seems like it's far from sure that it will be an NAVIGA world champ in Dessau next year. As to my knowledge there has not been an official application sent to NAVIGA from any nation yet... Some say NAVIGA will announce some info before the end of September and some others say later this year... To be continued...

I seems that the next NAVIGA FSR-V/H/O world champs in 2012 will be organized by Germany and the race venue is Dessau located south-west of Berlin!

"Hi All Good News Just got this through officially from Naviga. Saturday 7 may I was on the board meeting from Nauticus in Germany and we have spoken about the WC 2012. After all the information that they get from the organizer (Jörg Banazak, Soren Kratzmar) and me the board make unanimously the decision that Germany make the World Championship 2012 in the place Dessau. Juergen Tietze was there four weeks ago for a regatta that was be held and he told me that the lake was simular as the small lake in Velenje. Information (date) from the WC will be send out before the end of July this year.
